The Laws Observatory

The Laws Observatory at the University of Missouri has a long history as an educational and outreach tool, giving the public a welcoming environment to approach science and the natural world. The Central Missouri Astronomers Association has partnered with the Astronomy Department to open the observatory every Wednesday evening throughout the year, weather permitting.

L.A.C.E.S. (Life And Change Experienced thru Sports) is a sports and feeding program that serves communities in Liberia. Stephanoff Media has worked with L.A.C.E.S. for a few years including a website audit and full website redesign, graphic design of infographics and marketing materials, video pieces, and photographic event coverage.

RIM Initiative

The RIM Initiative seeks to build a socially focused microfinance sector through which clients are protected from the impact of internal and external risks. RIM accomplishes this by promoting risk management in the microfinance sector through training, organizational evaluation, and their developed Risk Management Graduation Model - a tiered system of standards based on an organization's size and portfolio.

McDougall Center for Photojournalism Studies

A large, three-part project involving the organization of a 10,000-piece photographic archive, the design and install of a gallery exhibit, and the creation of a 350-page interactive e-book. Working with images, writings, and interview videos from the Jack and Dorothy Fields Archive, I created videos, marketing materials, layout elements, and interactive maps telling the story of a pair of journalists who freelanced around the world for over 30 years.

Missouri’s Civil War

The University of Missouri Photojournalism students collaborated together to document various celebrations and re-enactments from Missouri's 150 year anniversary of the Civil War. This piece looks at what remains from the Civil War today and why those remnants are important and worth preserving.

Catholic Volunteer Network

Catholic Volunteer Network (CVN) fosters and promotes full-time domestic and international faith-based volunteer service opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds and skills. As the Communications Coordinator, Larissa managed the organization website, communication strategy, social media, advertising, public relations, vendors and production.

Appleseed Network

Appleseed and the network of centers identify barriers to opportunities and justice. It is an evidence-based advocacy organization whose victories secure lasting access to opportunity and justice for all. Appleseed was founded in 1994 with the mission to develop and help sustain a network of state advocacy centers that address local issues and develop and promote practical, systemic solutions.
