Possessing the Past is a part of a larger project that University of Missouri Photojournalism students collaborated on – documented various celebrations and re-enactments from Missouri’s 150 year anniversary of the Civil War. This piece looks at what remains from the Civil War today and why those remnants are important and worth preserving.
