Columbia College’s star pitcher Valerie Teter was hit in the face by a line drive from William Woods batter Audrey Crabtree on May 3rd in the bottom of the second inning in the second semifinal game of the American Midwest Conference Tournament. Teter was taken by emergency crews to the hospital for a broken nose and Columbia College’s tournament hopes were ended by 0-1 and 8-9 losses.
